31 Days Through The Gospel – Day 3

31 Days Through The Gospel Icon Flat

Hey friends! We have a lot of reading today, so let’s just jump right in! If you have any thoughts to share from yesterday’s study, PLEASE feel free to post comments.

Day 3 Study Notes:

Reading for Day 3: Matthew 3-4, Mark 1, Luke 3:1-5:16

Prayer Idea for Day 3: Pray that God will show you ways that you can be like John the Baptist, preparing the way of the Lord in our modern world.

Question for Day 3: How hard do you think it must have been for John the Baptist to continually tell people that he was not The One? Imagine how easy it would have been for pride to sneak up on him and to just succumb to being famous. He is a good example for us of pointing people straight to Jesus.

Verses to Ponder for Day 3: As it is written in Isaiah the prophet, “Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way, the voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.” – Mark 1:2-3

Local friends, if you haven’t emailed me about this yet, here’s an exciting additional part: During the 31 days, I will host an evening of worship, study, prayer, and fellowship EACH WEEK (with food, of course) at our home! 🙂 I’m especially excited about this part because I love getting together with girlfriends, and I love genuine, accountability-filled conversation! If you live in my area and would like to join our weekly crew, please email/message me for more details.

Thanks for stopping by! If you would like to subscribe to Grow Where You’re Planted and receive these posts in your email, you can do that here: Grow Where You’re Planted Updates.
