Worship Wednesday: Place of Freedom

So I still haven’t written about the GROW conference. In fact, I haven’t been writing a lot lately… and my heart feels it. Hopefully you will see posts more often from me… soon. Today’s song is another share from the conference. I’ve been anxiously awaiting (seriously) the release of Highlands Worship’s new CD, Place of Freedom. Well, it came out today. And I can FINALLY share this amazing song that was my second favorite song from the conference (second only to Great I Am). The song is the title track, Place of Freedom. You can’t help but lift your hands and sing it toward heaven. You guys have probably never heard this before… I hope it means as much to you as it does to me… and that you are able to come to a place of complete freedom in worship as you listen. Here are the lyrics… so amazing:

There’s a calm that covers me… when I kneel down at Your feet.
It’s a place of healing… it’s a place where I find freedom.

There’s a place my eyes can’t see… where my spirit longs to be.
It’s a place of healing… it’s a place I live in freedom.

I’m gonna lift my hands til I can reach heaven.
I’m gonna shout Your name til the walls come falling down.
I’ve come to worship. I’ve come to worship.

There’s a love that lives in me… for You, Lord, my Savior King
It breaks the sin that’s binding… and leads me to a place of freedom.

I’m gonna lift my hands til I can reach heaven.
I’m gonna shout Your name til the walls come falling down.
I’ve come to worship. I’ve come to worship.

I’m gonna sing my song like I am unashamed.
I’m gonna shout for joy at the mention of Your name.
I’ve come to worship. I’ve come to worship.

There’s no one that can bring me peace, that can wash me clean like You, Lord.
There’s nothing in this world that can free me… You saved my soul!

That place of freedom is what we all need to seek. To kneel at His feet. To really experience and connect with His presence. I’m so thankful for the freedom God has offered to us… if we will just accept.
