31 Days :: Day 16 – Galatians 6:14

This Morning:

  • Journal about what thoughts you found yourself dwelling on when you woke up this morning… and how quickly you were able to re-focus.
  • Spend time in prayer, yet again committing this day to Him… committing your mind to Him.
Devotion: Battle Verse #3… Galatians 6:14 (NIV):
May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

Week 3 of 31 Days is called “In Which We {unconsciously} See Ourselves As Too Big.” This week is going to be another tough week, as we look at things in our lives like pride, entitlement, defensiveness, jealousy, and bitterness… and how they relate to what we talked about last week. Galatians 6:14 is a great verse to keep in mind this week. Add it to your arsenal of verses to throw back at the enemy when he attacks you.

Have you seen any satanic attacks this past week? I sure have. In fact, I have found Satan attacking me in the EXACT context of what I’m writing about each day. So be prepared. I’m expecting the sinful junk I talked about above to try to run rampant in my mind this week.

My prayer is that all of us who struggle with these issues will find some encouragement this week… and breaking, if necessary. Please feel free to talk and share with each other. You can also always send me a private email if you’d rather not discuss in public.

So for today, start to memorize this verse. Think about what it means. And remind yourself all week. Continue reminding yourself of Philippians 4:8 and 2 Corinthians 10:4-6.

The Rest of the Day:

  • Have a great day of corporate (and private) worship!
  • Throw 2 Corinthians 10:4-6, Philippians 4:8, and Galatians 6:14 at Satan every time he throws a bad thought at you. Continue to be conscious of the patterns that sneak into your mind.
  • Before you go to bed, journal about today’s thought patterns, including new ones that may have come to mind in the “too big” realm. Spend some time in prayer, committing the day to the Lord, and asking Him to protect your unconscious mind as you sleep.
See you tomorrow!
